Daniel finished before Aaron. Ellen finished after Bradley. Aaron finished before Carl. Ellen finished after Daniel. Bradley finished before Aaron. Daniel finished after Bradley. Carl finished before Ellen. Who finished in which place? -grosenbaum

I think Brad is in first -michael

I would have to agree with Michael on the answer.....who wants it? -jeff

Jeff, HELP!! I simply can't do these freakin' things! Could you give me the exact places and let me have it. PLEASE!!! -sandee

Final Answer: 1) Bradley 2) Daniel 3) Aaron 4) Carl 5) Ellen -sandee

Correct -grosenbaum

Hurray for us!! Thanks again Michael for giving me a little head's up about who was in first place. I was able to piece it together after that. It wasn't as hard as I thought it was gonna be when I first looked at it. And thanks for the encouragement. -sandee

A man wanted to enter a secret club but he did not know the password that was required for entry. He waited by the door and spied upon the passwords that were being given. A man approached the door and knocked twice. The doorman said, "twelve." The man replied, "six" and was let into the club. A woman then came to the door and knocked twice. The doorman said, "six." The woman replied, "three" and was let in. The man thought he had heard enough and walked up to the door. The doorman said ,"ten" and the man replied, "five." But he was not let in. What should have he said? -grosenbaum

K, sounds to me that each person knocked 2 times, and were given a number they divided by 2, so this guy just walked UP to the door, he didn't knock, and the guy said 10, he should devide that by zero (because he knocked zero times) and his answer should have been zero. -alison

I'm tired and so I'm taking this one -michael

three -michael

No Alison, the number twelve has six letters in it. The number six has three letters in it and the number ten also has three letters in it, so the answer is 3. -michael

Yes Michael I believe you are correct I just think you need to say final answer -joel

Anyone get the feeling Michael is gone for the night? Maybe someone should answer with final answer. I'll do it. But I want someone's okay.
-alison

Go for it Alison... -jeff

final: three -alison

It hasn't taken this long for a confirmation before. But I am really tired now, as are most of you, I'm sure... Except for you lucky ones who are in a waaaay different time zone, and it's already tomorrow. I'll see you all then.. One more day of work, and then ALL DAY SATURDAY... the hunt for.... the cybermole! -alison

I was walking to town when I passed 7 men, each with 7 wives, carrying 7 geese. How many were travelling with me? Remember... agents who have left the chamber may not have ANY communication with agents inside the chamber. -barrylogan

Final answer....he was by himself. nobody was with him -michael

Ok I figured out the others alright, but how the heck did you get that answer Michael? That one foncused me... -joel

I don't know... I'm just mad that they accepted Alison's answer in the last one when I posted it first and it was written the exact same. -michael

The correct answer is indeed that he was travelling by himself. Congratulations. -barrylogan

I have a circular cake that I would like to divide between eight people equally. I can do it in just three slices - how do I do it? -barrylogan

Using a tap, a seven gallon container and a eleven gallon container, can you measure exactly 9 gallons? (you may empty the containers down the drain) -grosenbaum

I don't get it. Yes? Is that right? Yes? Can we have some money now? -omar

Fill up the 7 gallon. Enpty it into the 11 gallon.
Fill up the 7 gallon. Fill up the 11 gallon, leaving 3 in the 7.
Empty the 11g.
Dump the 3 into the 11g. Fill up the 7g again.
Dump the 7g into the 11g, putting the 11g bucket at 10g.
Fil up the seven and then use it to fill up the 11g.
6g remain in 7g bucket. Empty the 11g bucket.
Dump the 6g into the 11g bucket.
Fill up the 7g bucket and use it to fill up the remainder of the 11g bucket (5g) leaving 2g in the 7g bucket.
Empty 11g bucket and dump the remaining 2g into the 11g bucket.
Fill up the 7g bucket and dump into the 11g bucket. There ya go! 9 gallons of water! -joel

You have successfully obtained 9 gallons. -jpringman
