Department 309, Internal Affairs

Upon viewing the execution, the agents give thanks to PriceWaterhouse for not putting their own names up for the red thumbrpint. Omar, Justin, Alison, Joel, Li, Michael, Mysty, Sandee and Jeff remain in the contention. The agents must nominate each for three different groups now: two who question authority, three who act as a source of authority and four who see both sides of the coin. Alison and Joel are chosen as those who question authority and the others fulfill the other seven spots. Omar then reapproaches Michael regarding an alliance, especially considering that Michael wanted to wait until after the first execution quiz to make their alliance official. However, due to Omar's performance in the past few days Michael declined. Omar then goes to Justin and offers an alliance there, but Justin doesn't even feel comfortable with the idea of an alliance anyway.

The agents are then presented with their hotel rooms. There are four hotel rooms, and the agents rotate to different hotel rooms each week and rotate different company. This week Alison, Omar and Li are placed in Captain's Quarters; Justin, Michael and Sandee share Mermaid Landing; and Jeff, Joel and Mysty enjoy Pharoah's Chamber. The Samurai Asylum was not used this week. In Captain's Quarters, Omar and Alison share a nice chat about teenage jobs while they also learn that Li lives in Singapore and is on a very different time zone than the others - which may explain why she doesn't participate that much - but is it the primary reason she doesn't participate? The Mermaid Landing shows Justin and Michael the former rivals sharing information and fun with each other while Sandee joins in a "menage a trois". Justin and Michael laugh at Omar's attempts to forge alliances with them while they all talk about the un/importance of alliances in a saboteur-type game. Pharoah's chamber has Joel and Jeff swapping personal information but Mysty was nowhere to be seen...

The agents are then presented with their third mission. They now realize why they weren't given the answers to the seating challenge, for they must now redeem themselves and complete the challenge again. However, this time they can reveal their favorite numbers directly. They win the challenge easily to win $4. Michael takes the chance to confess that he's grateful for being given a second chance. He wants to redeem himself for all the mistakes he made in the first episode. Then Alison and Joel are given their challenge. They have the option to earn the almight XX (Execution Quiz Exemption). However, if they decide to not take the chance, the team wins an easy $8. But if they decide to take the chance, they could leave empty handed. They must interrogate the other players and answer a few questions. However, if they address a player, that person must answer to Alison/Joel's question within 24 hrs. Another person may answer also, as long as they answer within 12 hrs of the post. If there is no answer or it is late, Alison and Joel get a freebie answer.

Over in the other room, the other seven agents are given the fifth challenge. They are given a set of numbers [53-95-6-70-68-42-3] that a source from PriceWaterhouse sent to Dept. 309. If the agents correctly decode the set, they will be given the password to the cybermole's remote terminal. First they must decode the set. Then two members must enter the building and enter the password into the correct computer. At first the agents believe that since the code has seven numbers, it should correspond to a word with seven letters. They also try their own secret codes that were given to them at the beginning of the project. Jeff then tries using the numbers given and also the email and counts out the letters corresponding to the position in the email. However it doesn't give anything concrete. Omar then offers"It may have something to do with Michael.....you know, he's got 7 letters in his name"Mysty agrees with Omar and thinks that it means that Michael has to choose a person to come along with him. Jeff realizes that perhaps the nominations or the passwords to access the room have something to do with the code. He asks if everyone what their password was. Everyone responds "kem".

Later, Jeff returns and claims to have broken the code. He then codes back to himself in pride"Genius---genius---genius--32-28-92-16" Jeff then asks who wants to accompany him. He suggests a female should. But Michael offers so that he can redeem himself. They both agree to meet at a certain time later, but Michael does not show up then and Jeff is left to roam around the building. He then uses his new-found code to figure out which computer terminal is the correct one and then Jeff enters the password and leaves the building.

Back at Captain's Quarters, Alison appears to be making small talk, but little do Li and Omar know that she is trying for her challenge. She asks "What did you guys specifically have to do to help complete the challenge? However Li announces to the other two that her home computer has broken down so she can't be around as much. Luckily she sneaks in a few messages using a school computer during class. Mysty finally makes an appearance in Pharoah's Chamber after some coaxing from Jeff. She posts some info and tries to butter up the other two guys.

Upon completing the 'kem code' challenge, Jeff urges the rest of the players to not disclose any information regarding the challenge. Although Sandee does not feel confident about her abilities in the game, she deduces quickly that the seven of them are a part of Joel and Alison's challenge but they have to answer questions for them without giving out info! Alison poses some questions for Sandee so Sandee asks the others quickly about what to do. They believe that to gain money, they should answer the questions, but they don't want to lose money from their challenge which Jeff worked hard to win. Alison then tries to ask her roommate Omar some questions, but Sandee answers them for him once she realizes that Omar hasn't been online for a while. All the while Alison probes Sandee for answers, Sandee returns the favor by asking Alison about the nature of Alison's mysterious challenge. Joel however takes a more direct and private approach by messaging other agents for answers so that they feel more comfortable answering the questions.

Back in their private retreat, Alison and Joel begin to worry about their challenge. They've already decided to take on the task, so no money can be won anymore. However, they feel doubtful that they will be able to answer all three questions correctly. They feel bad about attempting the challenge at all but know that it was the most lucrative choice to take. They then probe further for answers from the other seven. In the process, it seems that Alison and Sandee have bonded in the sake of 'girl power' and are now trying to get in the same hotel room as each other for future episodes. Although Jeff is the most reluctant to give answers regarding the challenge, he does manage to tell Joel the order in which everyone posted during the challenge. While Jeff believes it is a harmless answer, it is one of Joel's target answers.

The agents then receive word regarding the 'kem code' challenge. Jeff had asked one question before entering the building (a question he tried to ask Michael who was not present), which resulted in a $1 deduction, but luckily Jeff's code was correct and $8 was won - therefore $7 were added to the kitty. Jeff then reveals to the seven his secret code: the numbers related to the periodic table of elements. Everyone then congratulates Jeff for winning the first few dollars for the team. Jeff then confesses that he is not sure it was the correct thing to do in revealing the code. He now knows it may cost him in the long run because the secret code might have a tell-tale clue on who is the cybermole.

Back at Mermaid Landing, Justin, Michael and Sandee have gotten along perfectly. They enjoy each other's company and Michael asks "Will you be my Scarlette Sandee?" To which she of course agrees. The three then discuss cybermole suspects and the latest clues to the hunt so that they can all survive the game together. Joel and Alison then realize their dilemma. If the other seven talk about their challenge, they risk losing the money they may or may not have won from their challenge. In order to gain their XXs, they must betray the team and cause them to fail. They then discuss whether they should post an answer or not, for the sake of the other team. They then take a comment on the main chat regarding agent names and passwords and believe that to be the challenge that the other seven took. Alison takes a shot in the dark with the answers for their challenge because they had not gotten enough info from the others in time. Unfortunately, they only got two out of the three questions right. However, they got a freebie question because one of Alison's questions to Omar was not answered by him and Sandee answered the post 13 hrs after Alison asked. Therefore, Joel and Alison gained the requisite three and won the XX. They will not be executed this episode.

The final moments arrive and suspicions must be finalized before the execution quiz arrives. Upon completion of the execution quiz, everyone believes the s/he failed and will be the next to go. However, only one will leave. This time they say goodbyes before the red screen shows.
