challenge #7: continued in main chat forum

I went out and bought new shoes today and I have a really hard time finding shoes because I have really small feet. I am a size 6 and while the kid's shoes are too... kiddy, the men's shoes are too big. So, I'm going though all these shoes, looking at different sizes and styles and such, when I notice a shoes size chart. In Canada/US I have size 6 feet, but if I was in the UK, it would look like my feet were huge cause they'd be like size 35! How weird is that? –michael

I know what you mean, here in the U.S. I wear a woman's size 9, but one Christmas a friend bought me some Japanese slippers and they were like a size 64 or something. –sandee

I am not sure what my size is in other conversions....does anyone know the calculation? –jeff

I'm not sure... I guess it's different depending on where you go... –michael

You think you've got it tough. I've had 3 different shoe sizes in 5 years. I can never find shoes. Before I was pregnant size, while I was pregnant size and after pregnancy size, you'd be amazed what a difference it makes... Not necessarily length wise but width too. I think maybe Canada and US standards are too general. The other countries have it right, take into consideration all aspects of the foot, not just the length of them. –alison

Alison, I know! My shoe size has changed 3 times in the last 5 years, but currently I am a size 9. What is your current post-preggers size? -sandee

Question for the guys: I recently saw an episode of David Letterman with Nicole Kidman on it talking about her divorce from Tom Cruise and she said, "Well, at least now I can wear heels." You see she is 5'10" and he is 5'7". I go through the same thing. I am one inch taller than my husband so he asks me to wear flats all of the time. My question is, Why does it bother men if their spouse/girlfriend is taller than them?? –sandee

I happen to like it when the person I am dating is taller than me....but then I again...I like shorter too....it actually makes no difference. –jeff

You really were no help there, were you? :p -sandee

I wouldn't think of going out with a girl that's taller than me, LOL. I don't know, it'd just be really awkward..... –omar

I can honestly say I've never gone out with a man shorter than me. But if I did, I'd be locked away because he'd probably be 8 years old... hahaha, I'm not a tall girl. –alison

I'm not very tall either. My husband is just kinda short (he'll kill me if he ever sees this!). -sandee

I'm about 5'7'' which isn't exactly very tall, but compared to my friends, I'm quite a bit taller than the rest of them. Well, I probably will not go out with any guy shorter than me not that I mind but because it might be an issue for the guy. But in any case, any guys around here who are free and available? haha -li
