my number is the 'sweet' number, when you add the digits together it equals the 'luckiest' number (as in gambling, slots???) hopefully this will help. This will also mean that I am sitting somewhere behind the person who has number 11, meaning that if michaels number is only 1 digit, we are not together in seating. I think we should read the clues again, I think it is a group challenge, maybe we have to put our answer up as a group (we all agree this is correct, sort of thing) But since there have now been two assumptions of the rules, maybe our nice guy jp will clarify it more, as the 'wording' of the question leaves us a little confused. -alison
If it's wording you asked for, it's wording you'll get! I am asking for One list, to be submitted to this forum by anyone. -jpringman
ok with the other clues, I think that Omar is in front, Ethan is in the last seat. I think I may be behind Omar and Alison, you are defently behind me I'm still not sure about everyone else I'm not at home with all my notes at the moment once I get home, I will let everyone know what I have -justin
Hey All, Here is my clue, sorry it took so long, couldn't get in: The person behind you has a favorite number which is double yours in the ones place. Hope it helps, My favorite number is very low (I hope that didn't break any rules) -mysty
Alison, if the number on slot machines is the one I am thinking of, it is the same as the number in my "ones" column, meaning that you probably are behind me. -michael
Mine is an odd three digit palindrome. (I will try to figure out better clues) I still agree with Michael that he can still be seated in front of Alison. We need to make note of those who have odd numbers and those that are even. Behind Omar is even. Behind Mysty is even. -jeff
I think that a series goes: Justin behind Sandee behind me. Based on the calculations having largish numbers. I hope no one has a negative favorite number, cause that would really screw things up. -jeff
My number is an odd number, just for clarification purposes. -michael
My number is used in most freshmen college class names. -jeff
I haven't received my number yet...I do know that we have to get organized though... we have only 23.5 hours left... -michael
Hi again guys. I think that my number clue got people a little bit confused. My number is the 'sweet' number, like birthday's for girls (help me out here girls) it is an EVEN number, AND when you add the digits together it comes out to equal the 'luckiest' number. The sweet one is my number, BUT the sum of the digits equals the 'lucky' one. I have to be honest here guys. I am sooo confused, right after this I'm going to copy and paste all of the clues onto a new section so we have them all together, and we can evaluate them from there. -alison
According to Jeff's clue, his number describes first year college courses, which is 101. Then there is Li's clue...*The person in front of you has a favorite number in which the hundreds place is the same as your ones place.* Jeff's "hundreds" is a one and so maybe Li's number is the assumed 11 which is in the 5th seat??? -michael
Is it possible that we have the same favorite number? Is this what they are saying here? I'm confused. Totally, because if the number in your 1's section, is the same as my number and mine is only 1 digit. It must be the same right? -alison
no....The last digit in my number is the same as yours. There is still more to figure out. -michael
I believe Sandee and I both have three digit numbers. So Li's number could be related to her. If my calculations are right and the front-to-back order is me-Sandee-Justin. Then someone else has to have another three digit number and Li's number is related to them. -jeff
This is very confusing, but at least we know two for sure... we still have ample time left though and we could always risk a dollar by asking the placement of somebody... (as a last resort of course) -michael
Mysty said that her favorite number is very low and I deduced from my clue that the person sitting in front of me has a favorite number that would be the number of children you had if you had twins. If Mysty can confirm that that description matches her number I believe that Mysty is sitting in front of me. So, Mysty, if you had twins would you have children that would equal your favorite number? -sandee
Sandee, you can test if your guess of Mysty's number is correct by doubling the number. when you double it does it equal the number in your "ones" column? -jeff
Well that totally blew my theory to shreds...thanks Sandee....j/k. That is good.....then that may clarify that Li and I could be neighbors. -jeff
No Jeff! My number is triple digits, BUT my clue tells me that the person in front of me has a single digit number. If your number is triple digits you couldn't possibly be sitting in front of me. Remember the person sitting in front of me has a single digit number that would be the number of towers that were once the World Trade Center. I honestly think Mysty is in front of me. Mysty, please confirm if my descriptions match your number -sandee
Can you all clarify for me? Are we allowed to reveal other people's numbers as long as they are not our own. If not then I think we messed up a few times. -michael
I to am very confused about the clues. I do believe that Omar or Ethan are either in the first seat or the last seat. I have no idea though, but I believe its one of them I wish this was a bit easier I'm sure once we get are numbers it will be I think I know what it is its the evil number you put in a row, the devil sign, but minus the other too numbers. does that make any sense?? -justin
I don't understand why the person who's favorite number is 11 doesn't just say "I am sitting in seat five" They are not telling us their number, just their seat assignment. Also, in regards to Joel's clue: "The person at the back's favorite number is the same as the amount of etters in his/her name." should also be able to just say "Joel's clue pertains to me." Sine they also are not giving away their number by their statement. -jeff
I know we haven't heard from Ethan lately, but if his favorite number is a three digit number than either I or Sandee sit in front of him and Justin sits behind him. -jeff
EXACTLY!!! Is there a rule that says that once 'someone else' has said your number, you can't confirm? I mean come on, if we've broken the rules in there, it is by mentioning ACTUAL numbers, to confirm or deny what someone else has said can't make it any worse. And if we haven't broken any rules, I don't see how a confirmation could be construed as YOU telling us your number, you didn't someone else did, and you just confirmed they guessed correctly. -alison
Michael you wrote: *you can test if your guess of Mysty's number is correct by doubling the number. when you double it does it equal the number in your 'ones' column?* Yes it does. So now we definately know that Mysty is sitting in front of me. Yea! So now we have one sure bit of info to go on -sandee
I am not sure that they can so that Alison.....they cannot say....'yes, my number is eleven'.....they would have to say, 'I sit in seat five' No one can put their specific number in their note....that I think would be a violation. -jeff
What I meant was, if that is their number (let's say 11 because everyone else has) they would say, Hey that one number that everyone has written, is mine (not number11 is mine) You know what I mean, who originally said the number 11? That was Jeff right, too many J boys. so the person with that number could confirm by saying. Hey, Jeff, you are right about that number, it's mine. P.S. I'm gonna be honest, right up until 5 seconds ago, I was under the FALSE impression that we were in order (like from lowest number to highest number) but it doesn't actually say that on the (what is it, a job description?) anyway, it doesn't say that. So, yes Michael, I guess you are right about us sitting close due to our clues. Sorry for the confusion. I was sooooo trying to help, and I just confused you, and me.... so what can you say right??? (c: -alison
no....The last digit in my number is the same as yours. There is still more to figure out. -michael
