You're being awful quiet this time. Here's a question I posted in the roundtable that you never responded to. On the alto sax which way is easier for you to play B flat? I had a strange sax (a french Buffet) and the side keys were laid out oddly. So I always just did the two finger method. –sandee

I'm sorry Sandee... I thought I had caught up on everything... I would use the first finger of the right hand plus first finger of the left. I hate using the side keys! –michael

That's the way I always played it too, but my band director used to get on me for it. He'd say that was an alternative, but not the correct way. Well, I always played with a double embrasure too which got under his skin even more. I hated the vibrations of the mouthpiece on my upper teeth so I always put my lip in between there. –sandee

The band director that I had had since I first picked up the sax in the 8th grade was a stickler for all sorts of things, but he was very, very dedicated. Then, he chooses to go back to college in my last year of high school and leave us with only a vocal director to run the music department. It hasn't been the same this year... –michael

In your senior year? Man, that sucks! How does the vocal director do with planning the marching band routines? I was in the orchestra when my school did a musical version of Scrooge and it was my best high school memory. It was so much fun. Well, that and when we marched in a parade at Mardi Gras in New Orleans. We trained for a 2 mile parade and when we got there we were told the parade had been extended to 7 miles! Ouch! That would have been my greatest memory except that on the 9 hour bus ride home about 50% of us came down with a stomach virus and the stench of puke was everywhere. Ewwww! –sandee

Wow that would be extremely gross! Actually though, we don't have a marching band, just a concert band. We also had a jazz and R&B band, but that left with the band director. I like that just fine because although I would love to be in a marching band, I don't think it would be possible for me. I have cerebral palsy and I walk slightly different then people without any disability. I drag my foot across the ground with every step. It's not so bad because I'm used to it, but I do have to buy a new pair of shoes almost every month. –michael

There's a band near us, Virginia State University, that has handicapped people in their marching band. They sit in wheelchairs and other kids push them. I think it's nice. That way the disabled people don't have to miss out on the fun of the parades and football games. –sandee

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that if our band decided to march, arrangements would be made. -michael

Did you get that message from Michael about trying to get Jeff out? I'm wondering......maybe we are wrong about Joel. Maybe Michael is the cybermole! Jeff is the smartest one of us and maybe Michael wants him out so that we won't win any more money. Gosh, this game is making me so suspicious of everyone!!” –sandee (message to alison)

You know, I was so confused by his message. I thought he was trying to dis Joel. Because Joel's message was kinda mean. I wish I knew who Jeff was going for. That makes it a little easier. But if all of us are on the same track, what can we do? And if Michael is the cybermole, I guess we'll only know if Joel gets executed (or one of us, but I don't want to think about that) It is getting down to the wire, I'm going to stick with my gut on this one, and if Jeff is executed, hopefully that means we're still looking at the right person, but if anyone else goes, it could be that we are all on the exact same track (which scares me, because then it is whoever takes the test last) but if Joel goes????
I think maybe Michael WANTS us to believe he's trying to throw us off Joel, so he can stick with him and win. Or, he's being sincere, he's told me on more than one occasion that you and I are the two he's become closest to. I would love to see you, Michael and myself as the final 4 (with Joel of course) only problem is, only 2 of us can make it to final 3, and only 1 can win. I can't think of any other people I'd like to spend the last few days with! If I'm executed, it was a pleasure to have met your aquaintance, and I'm sure we'll keep in touch after the show. –alison (message to sandee)

I'll tell you something just between you and me. It's girl power time! You and I both went with Joel last time, right? So I really don't think it's Michael. I think he just wants us to think it's him, you know? Of course, it's possible he's being sincere and really wants the three of us to go on. This is so nerve racking!! Because I really want it to be me, you, and Michael (and Joel, of course), but I hate to lose Jeff because he's usually really good at the challenges. Anyway, good luck and I hope we stay friends long after this game is done. –sandee (message to michael)
