a small game while waiting...
if you were a color, what kind would you be? what color would the others be?
I would be baby blue. It's a soft gentle color, but can still be fun and sexy.... (c: I would say Joel is grey and Jeff is aquamarine. –alison
I would be charcoal
Alison would be dark smoke
Joel would be midnight ash –jeff
I would have to say that my color would be white. My desire to attempt to be an honest, pure person (not always succesful :( ) Alison I would say would be a purplish grey color, for reasons we all know now :) Jeff would be Yellow or Orange. I think Jeff is one of the brightest people in the game and in Jainism yellow or orange show wisdom, power to accomplish the goal, and discipline or strong will power in the life. –joel
Can I just say "WHAT?" the reason's we all know of now... Almost an insult without being one. I guess I'll explain why I picked the colors for each. Joel I picked grey, because he tries to come off as the black hat bad guy (most of the time, disappearing for challenges, stuff like that) but the white inside keeps coming out, so it made it grey. Jeff I picked aquamarine, because you're not quite sure it's green, you're not quite sure it's blue.... I feel that I haven't got to know Jeff well enough to tell what color he may be, he hides stuff, you can never get close enough to aquamarine to tell which of the 2 colors it is more like. –alison
Alison I am sorry, I did not mean my color choosing as an insult, I was just thinking that the colors I chose were rather rodent like.....like you may fit that description :) As for me being bad I find it kind of funny. I play a lot of Yahoo! Games, The Mole, Survivor etc, and always I am the guy that makes an alliance or whatever and sticks with it, tries to get along with everyone, not ruffle any feathers. I will be honest and say that I don't know what happened in this game. I really felt like I was given some sort of label of being the meanie and so I said "Hey why don't I just go with it." It's funny that you noticed that I am not very good at it but I tried hard....lol. It has really been a fun game, but I will admit I would have had a lot more fun had I been able to see good relationships come out of it, but when that wasn't going to happen I just played it to win. I still could very well lose, for sure, but as for challenges and stuff, I always did what I could do to try and contribute and if it wasn't enough I am sorry. –joel
I think that words on screen take on a more nasty connotation because you can not hear the tone of voice. I didn't think you were the BADDIE. That was kinda the point... I think that once you were labelled that way, you played the bad guy card (black) but the white still came through with me, I didn't see you that way, so you were grey! I meant no offense either. I'm no rodent! My brain is too big! hahaha (c: –alison
what was your favorite roundtable discussion, why?
My favorite roundtable discussion was the discussion on evolution, I really wish it was during a time when we could have discussed it more because we didn't really get into it, but I wanted to go into it a lot more than we did. –joel
I had no favorite roundtable discussion. –jeff
You didn't like the discussions at all Jeff, or nothing really jumped out at you? –joel
I thought the discussions boring and blase. It semed that we all agreed on far too many of them. There was nothing extrememly controversial to dig out any fire among the contestants....but maybe that was just me. –jeff
yeah I agree Jeff, we did agree too much. That is why I wished we went into more depth with the evolution topic because I am sure that you and I could have had some interesting points, since I am sure we disagree on evolution. –joel
I personally liked the discussion on taking away the arts in school.
P.S. I didn't realize the idea behind round table was TO cause conflict and disagreement. I personally found it gratifying to actually be in with a group of people I didn't have to dislike because their views were stubbornly stupid!
I thought that some provoked more discussion (whether that was agreement, additional information, whatever) those were the best, not for the topic, but for the information it gave me about the person writing the message. That's what I thought it was all about. And I'm glad we didn't all disagree, I dislike conflict, and I avoid it at all costs.... Unless I feel injustice or double standards of some kind. –alison
